Booking Agreement

1. General

(a) The terms “Storer” and “Spacer” in this Booking Agreement have the same meaning as defined in the Urban Squirrel Terms of Use.

(b) This Booking Agreement incorporates the Urban Squirrel Terms and Conditions except where explicitly stated otherwise.

2. Rental of Space

(a) The Spacer agrees to rent the storage space located at the address specified in the booking made via the Urban Squirrel platform (the “Space”) to the Spacer for the time period specified in the booking made via the Urban Squirrel platform (the “Booking Period”) subject to and on the terms as set out in this Booking Agreement.

(b) The booking may not be terminated by either party prior to the end of the Booking Period save for in the event that either party is found to have breached this Booking Agreement.

3. Spacer Responsibilities

(a) The Spacer must:

(i) ensure that any key, code, fob, or other device that may be required for entry to the Space is in working order at the start of the Booking Period;

(ii) retain a copy of any key, code, fob, or other device that is given to the Store and ensure that a new key code is given for each separate Booking (if access to the space is by way of key code);

(iii) assist the Spacer in getting access to the Space as reasonably requested by the Spacer; and

(iv) ensure that the Space is fit for use, not still occupied by a previous bookings items, and is as depicted in the description or photos in the Space listing on Urban Squirrel.

4. Storer Responsibilities

(a) The Storer:

(i) must not change any locks or codes (or otherwise interfere with how the Spacer normally accesses the Space) and they must not make a copy of any keys or fobs given to them by the Spacer.

(i) must make sure that the Space is clear of all waste and rubbish at the end of the Booking.

(iii) is responsible for storing their stored items in the Space in a sensible manner to make sure that the items do not get damaged.

(iv) must, at the end of the Booking Period, move all of their items out of the Space and leave the Space in the same state as at the beginning of the Booking Period.

5. Payment

(a) The total amount payable for the rental of the Space (being the “Price”) is specified in the booking as made on Urban Squirrel.

(b) The Price shall be collected in full at the time of Booking Acceptance (defined below) by Urban Squirrel on behalf of the Spacer. Urban Squirrel shall, via its Payment Processor, transfer the Price to the Spacer less any commissions deducted and retained by Urban Squirrel in accordance with the Terms of Use, and subject to the below clauses.

6. Booking Request and Booking Acceptance

(a) By submitting making a booking request, the Storer makes a request the Spacer to rent the Space on the terms set out on the Urban Squirrel platform (the “Booking Request”). By making a Booking Request, the Storer agrees to the terms of this Booking Agreement.

(b) The Spacer then reviews the Booking Request, and shall either accept the booking (“Booking Acceptance”) or reject the booking within 7 days of the Booking Request being made. By accepting the Booking Request, the Spacer accepts the terms of this Booking Agreement.

(d) If the Booking Request is accepted by the Storer then:

(i) this Booking Agreement is completed; and

(ii) he Price is collected in full at the time of Booking Acceptance from the Storer.

(e) If the Booking Request is rejected by the Spacer, then this Booking Agreement is not completed and no further action is to be taken.

(f) Following completion of the booking, Urban Squirrel shall, via its Payment Processor, pay out the Price to the Spacer less any commissions deducted and retained by Urban Squirrel in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

7. Breach of Terms

(a) Both Storers and Spacers are responsible for informing Urban Squirrel in writing of any breach of this Booking Agreement as soon as reasonably possible, and in any case no later than 30 calendar days after finding out about the breach. Please do so to info@urbansquirrel.com.

8. Amendment of Booking Agreement

(a) Urban Squirrel reserves the right to modify this Booking Agreement at any time and at its discretion. In those instances, Urban Squirrel will notify any impacted Storers and Spacers in advance. Modifications will not apply to bookings that are active at the time when notifications take effect.

9. Incorporation of Term of Use

By agreeing to this Booking Agreement, the Storers and Spacers also agree to be bound by the Urban Squirrel Terms of Use.
